SAVE THE DATE / THIS YEAR'S CHRISTMAS PARTY
This year's Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 14 at 6-9 pm at Solé Grill and Sushi Bar in Seneca. It will be a buffet with sushi and other hors d'oeuvres, blackened salmon and grits, chicken tenders, a mashed potato bar, steamed vegetables, and non-alcoholic beverages. The price per person is $20 plus 20% gratuity, taxes, and alcoholic beverages.
We hope that many of you will be able to attend. We apologize to those who already will have left to see family for the holidays. Thanksgiving is very late this year, and the weekend prior to December 14th has Brooks Center events and the ACC championship game, so there weren't any earlier dates to select.
The Social Committee
Christy Hubbard, the Oconee County Auditor, recently sent us this notice regarding an exemption from property taxes for homeowners over age 65, totally and permanently disabled or legally blind. This exemption is on the first $50,000 of value and is IN ADDITION TO the exemption for school operating purposes. Questions to Ms. Hubbard at email@example.com.
EAST SHORES BOOK AND AUDIO BOOK EXCHANGE
Thanks to Anne Mayberry's sharp eyes we now have a bookcase in the clubhouse – and thus a book and audio book exchange! Here's how it works……
Homeowners may put books or audio books they are willing to give away in the bookcase in the clubhouse. Note that you will not get these items back – you are giving them away.
Other homeowners may take these for their use. It is nice to return them for additional homeowners' use but not required.
Please don't put books that would have no interest to others, i.e. text and reference books, on the shelves. We have limited space and this is not intended to be a place to trash books of no value.
